In a surprising turn of events, Russian President Vladimir Putin has voiced his preference for President Joe Biden to win the 2024 election over former President Donald Trump. Now, hold on to your hats, folks, because this is a real head-scratcher. A Russian president supporting the guy currently sitting in the Oval Office? Well, color us shocked!

According to the Financial Times, Putin believes Biden is “more experienced, predictable, an old-school politician.” Now, I don’t know about you, but I wasn’t aware that being old-school was a compliment. But hey, if it means Putin thinks Biden is easier to manipulate, then who are we to argue?
But let’s not take Putin’s comments at face value. Reuters suggests that the Russian president may have been joking around. Joking or not, it’s worth noting that Putin didn’t waste any time defending Biden’s mental acuity. In fact, he denied seeing any evidence of Biden’s alleged mental decline. Well, isn’t that reassuring?
Now, let’s talk about Biden’s mental acuity, shall we? It’s become quite the hot topic lately, especially after the special counsel’s report revealed that Biden had a “poor memory.” And listen, folks, if the special counsel couldn’t press charges against Biden for illegal retention of documents because he’s just an old guy with a lousy memory, then I don’t know what justice is anymore.
But back to Putin. His comments came just a day after Biden accused Trump of being too friendly with Russia. Biden claimed that no other president in history has bowed down to a Russian dictator. Well, I hate to break it to you, Joe, but back in the day, there was this thing called the Cold War, and I’m pretty sure presidents were doing a fair bit of bowing and scraping to keep those commies in check.
And let’s not forget Trump’s bold statement at a recent rally where he suggested that NATO countries should pay their fair share for American protection. He even went as far as saying he wouldn’t protect those who don’t pay up. Now, that’s a tough stance that we need more of! But of course, Biden had to chime in, calling it dumb, shameful, dangerous, and un-American. Well, Mr. President, if standing up for American taxpayers and holding our allies accountable is un-American, then sign me up!
So, there you have it, folks. Putin may prefer Biden, but let’s not forget the real priorities here. We need strong leadership, someone who won’t apologize for America or be pushed around by foreign powers. We need someone who will put America first, someone who won’t cower in the face of dictators. And if that someone is Donald J. Trump, then who are we to argue with Putin?
