America lost a true patriot this week when Charlie Kirk was gunned down by a radical leftist assassin. The 31-year-old founder of Turning Point USA was doing what he did best – debating liberals and defending conservative values on a college campus. Instead of engaging in honest debate, a deranged shooter decided to silence Charlie forever.
The killer is Tyler Robinson, a 22-year-old college student from Utah who was radicalized by the anti-American poison being taught in our universities. Robinson attended Utah State University and had become obsessed with left-wing politics in recent years. His own family said he hated Charlie Kirk and everything he stood for.
This is exactly what happens when we let radical professors fill young minds with hatred for America and conservative values. Our colleges have become breeding grounds for domestic terrorists who think violence is acceptable when they disagree with someone. Robinson planned this attack like a military operation, hiding a rifle and engraving bullets.
Charlie Kirk was simply exercising his First Amendment right to free speech when this campus radical decided to become judge, jury and executioner. Kirk traveled the country defending America, fighting for students’ rights, and exposing the radical left’s agenda. Now he’s dead because some brainwashed college kid couldn’t handle hearing different ideas.
Thank God Robinson’s own family member had the courage to turn him in after he confessed to the shooting. At least some Americans still know right from wrong and won’t protect cold-blooded killers. This family member probably saved other lives by doing the right thing.
This assassination shows how dangerous our college campuses have become for conservative speakers and students. The left has created an atmosphere where they believe conservatives deserve to be silenced by any means necessary. When professors teach that America is evil and conservatives are fascists, this is the result.
We cannot let Charlie Kirk die in vain or allow campus radicals to think they can terrorize conservative voices into silence. Every parent sending kids to college needs to know their children might come home as America-hating extremists. Every university that allows this radical indoctrination must be held accountable.
It’s time to take back our colleges from the radical left before they create more killers like Tyler Robinson. Charlie Kirk spent his life fighting for America’s future, and now we must continue that fight in his memory. We owe it to Charlie and every patriot who refuses to bow down to leftist bullies.
