Sen. Ron Johnson of Wisconsin is calling foul on the Colorado Supreme Court for flinging former President Donald Trump off the state’s primary ballot, claiming it’s yet another example of how the “radical leftism” has snuck into every nook and cranny of American society. In a lively chat on Fox News’ “Sunday Morning Futures,” Senator Johnson busted out with, “I tell ya, radical leftism has invaded every sector in this country—our courts, our schools, government agencies. It’s a real mess.”
This whole ruckus began when the Colorado Supreme Court voted 4-3, bopping former President Trump off the primary ballot, arguing he just got a little too wild after the 2020 election and did an insurrection-y thing, which, they say, disqualifies him from making another run for the presidency, thanks to Section 3 of the 14th Amendment. Yep, they wiped his name off the March 5 GOP primary ballot quicker than you can say “Make America Great Again.”

Sure, some folks high-fived the decision, but it was like dropping a smelly old sock in a room full of skunks when it came to backlash. Everyone from liberal Democrats to never-Trump Republicans, and even Trump’s Republican and independent primary opponents, had a bone to pick with the ruling. In fact, Trump’s spokesperson Steven Cheung is so ticked off, he’s hollering about taking this circus all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court.
Mr. Cheung let loose with, “Not a shocker here, but the gang of all-Democrat-appointed Colorado Supreme Court judges went and gave the thumbs-down on President Trump, throwing their weight behind some left-wing organization funded by Soros. Their goal? Messing with the election to help out Crooked Joe Biden, all by snatching President Trump’s name off the ballot and stripping Colorado voters of their rights to pick who they fancy.”
