After decades of pushing radical left policies, 78-year-old Jerry Nadler finally announced his retirement from Congress. The New York Democrat said he won’t run for reelection in 2026. This comes after 17 terms of consistently voting against American values and conservative principles.
Nadler claims he was inspired to step down after watching Joe Biden’s failed reelection campaign. He said it showed him the need for “generational change” in the Democratic Party. What he really means is that even Democrats are getting tired of his extreme agenda.
This is the same Jerry Nadler who led the witch hunt against President Trump. As chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, he pushed through bogus impeachment charges. He wasted millions of taxpayer dollars on political theater instead of solving real problems.
Now a 26-year-old named Liam Elkind wants to take Nadler’s place. Elkind is already talking about “rebuilding the Democratic party” with young radicals. This means even more extreme policies are coming to New York.
Nadler spent his career attacking law enforcement and supporting soft-on-crime policies. He voted for massive government spending that drove up inflation. He consistently opposed border security and supported sanctuary city policies that put Americans at risk.
The timing of his retirement is no accident. Nadler knows Republicans are gaining ground across the country. He sees the writing on the wall and doesn’t want to face voters who are fed up with failed Democrat leadership.
New York deserves better than another far-left politician who will continue Nadler’s destructive legacy. Hardworking families need representatives who will fight for lower taxes and safer streets. They need someone who puts America first, not radical ideology.
Nadler’s retirement is long overdue, but the damage is already done. His replacement will likely be just as radical, if not worse. New Yorkers must wake up and demand real change, not more of the same failed policies.
