Republican presidential hopeful Vivek Ramaswamy is vowing to take a stand in protest of the shocking decision by the Colorado Supreme Court to disqualify former President Trump from the 2024 general election ballot. The court, in a 4-3 ruling, cited the 14th Amendment to justify their decision, which left many conservatives outraged and concerned about the state of democracy.

Ramaswamy, an outspoken critic of the left and their legal tactics, took to social media to express his strong opposition to the court’s decision. He vowed to boycott Colorado’s Republican primary until Trump is allowed to appear on the state’s ballot. In his post, Ramaswamy labeled the court’s ruling as “un-American” and “unconstitutional,” calling it an unprecedented attack on democracy. He passionately urged other Republican contenders, including Ron DeSantis, Chris Christie, and Nikki Haley, to join him in protesting the court’s decision.
Despite being a fellow contender in the Republican primary, Ramaswamy has consistently condemned what he refers to as “leftist lawfare.” He even traveled to a Florida courthouse to pledge a pardon for Trump if he were to be convicted on charges of mishandling classified documents. Ramaswamy has also called on Governor Ron DeSantis and other Republican hopefuls to support the idea of pardoning Trump if necessary.
The former president, who has not been charged with carrying out an insurrection and has no prior convictions, is now gearing up to appeal the decision to the U.S. Supreme Court.
