In a recent interview with Fox News host Neil Cavuto, GOP presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy held his ground and refused to admit that former President Trump is guilty despite facing his fourth indictment this year. Cavuto tried to argue that the multiple indictments against Trump couldn’t all be politically motivated, but Ramaswamy disagreed. He stood firmly on the side of principle, stating that these prosecutions are wrong.
Ramaswamy didn’t back down from his stance even as Cavuto pressed him, insisting that just because the government brings a case doesn’t mean there must be something wrong. He criticized the culture of blindly accepting the government’s charges, likening it to a people of sheep and warning that it breeds a government of wolves. Ramaswamy expressed skepticism about the 91 charges brought against Trump, which further frustrated Cavuto in his attempt to get the GOP candidate to admit guilt.
When Cavuto tried to bring up the Georgia contest and asked if Ramaswamy saw any evidence of Trump trying to reverse the results, the candidate had had enough. He expressed his frustration with the conversation and made it clear that his focus is on the interests of the nation as he runs for president. Ramaswamy firmly believes that these prosecutors and elected officials are not advancing the interests of the nation with these politically motivated indictments, and he believes the country is worse off because of it.
Ramaswamy’s stance has garnered support in the presidential race, with a recent poll showing him at 11 percent support compared to Gov. Ron DeSantis’ 10 percent. However, Trump still holds a significant lead with 53 percent support. Despite the challenges ahead, Ramaswamy remains determined in his pursuit of the presidency.
