Vivek Ramaswamy came out swinging during the Republican debate last night, and his campaign couldn’t be happier about it. Tricia McLaughlin, the Ramaswamy campaign’s communications director, proudly declared that it was Vivek versus the establishment. According to her, the attacks on Ramaswamy show that he is a direct threat to the GOP establishment, and he clearly dominated the debate.

Ramaswamy, at the age of 38, had some fiery exchanges with heavyweights like former Vice President Mike Pence, former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, and former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley. People are taking notice of Ramaswamy’s recent rise in the polls, and McLaughlin believes that voters are ready for a fresh face. She compared it to giving your car keys back to someone who has crashed it ten times – it’s time to try something new. In her opinion, maybe what America needs is an outsider to handle foreign policy and get our affairs back in order.
McLaughlin didn’t hold back in praising Ramaswamy, claiming that he came out victorious in all his battles. She even went so far as to say that there’s “blood on the floor,” but it certainly wasn’t Vivek’s.
Editorial Opinion: It’s refreshing to see someone like Vivek Ramaswamy shake up the stale GOP establishment. While the other candidates may be more experienced, sometimes it takes an outsider to bring a fresh perspective and new solutions to the table. Ramaswamy’s strong performance in the debate shows that he is a force to be reckoned with, and the Republican Party should take notice. It’s time for a change, and Ramaswamy may just be the one to deliver it.
