In his memoir, Stephen Friend exposes alleged instances of the FBI and Department of Justice manipulating statistics and inflating the danger of domestic terrorism on a national level to brand Donald Trump supporters as violent extremists. He further claims to have witnessed aggressive tactics used to intimidate conservative individuals, indicating that the investigative process was becoming punitive under the FBI’s direction.
After Stephen Friend’s memoir was published, the FBI and Department of Justice issued a statement denying allegations of investigating individuals based on their political views and affirming their dedication to safeguarding the constitutional rights of all Americans. Nevertheless, some perceive this statement as a facade for the FBI’s agenda driven by political motives.
The fact that Stephen Friend was suspended without pay for speaking out against the FBI’s discriminatory practices against conservatives is a testament to the agency’s blatant disregard for the First Amendment. It is clear that the FBI is more interested in protecting their own interests than in protecting the rights of American citizens.
This is yet another example of how the Biden administration is attempting to silence conservative voices. The FBI’s actions are an affront to our democracy and a violation of our constitutional rights. It is time for the Biden administration to take action and put an end to this discrimination against conservatives.
