In the latest chapter of liberal chaos, Rhode Island finds itself in the spotlight with a shocking display of loyalty to criminals over law-abiding citizens. Supposed “representatives” like Enrique Sanchez displayed pitiful levels of ignorance and disdain for American law enforcement. His hostile rant against ICE agents, labeling them as “Nazis,” only reveals the deep-seated ignorance and misplaced priorities that have taken root in certain political circles.
The Democrat’s embrace of sanctuary policies led to a disastrous outcome. An illegal immigrant, self-identified as an MS-13 member, was free on the streets thanks to these reckless policies. Despite pending charges for fentanyl trafficking, local officials ignored ICE detainers. When ICE attempted to arrest this individual, he fled, causing chaos and damage. Yet, Sanchez chose to defend this criminal as a “neighbor,” demonstrating a frightening camaraderie with those who would pose a threat to local communities.
It’s disturbing how the left prioritizes coddling dangerous individuals over protecting innocent citizens. They rally around criminals while condemning law enforcement’s critical work to restore safety. The accusation that ICE officers are akin to the gestapo demonstrates a lack of historical perspective, not to mention an outright betrayal of American values.

Rhode Island deserves leadership that stands with them, not against them. The state’s officials are more willing to be outraged over the capture of a gang member than the threat posed to their constituents. It signals a worrying shift in priorities that puts law-abiding citizens last.
Enrique Sanchez’s antics should serve as a wake-up call. He’d rather obstruct federal laws than protect his own community. Voters should ask themselves if their representatives are truly on the side of justice and security, or if they’re playing defense for dangerous criminals. After all, when did common sense and community safety become second to political agendas?
