RICO Case Charges Frighten Giuliani, Says Jenna Ellis Attorney!

Former President Donald Trump’s lawyer, Jenna Ellis, has pleaded guilty to one felony count of aiding and abetting false statements and writings in Georgia. In a tearful statement, Ellis expressed deep remorse for her involvement in Trump’s post-election challenges and stated that she would have declined to represent him if she had known the full extent of the situation. Ellis has been sentenced to five years of probation, ordered to pay a $5,000 restitution, complete 100 hours of community service, and issue an apology letter to the state of Georgia. She has also agreed to cooperate with prosecutors, including testifying in the larger case.

Frank Hogue, a lawyer who helped arrange Ellis’s plea deal, believes that former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani should be more concerned about his own legal troubles than Ellis’s possible testimony. Hogue suggested that Giuliani’s issues extend far beyond Ellis and that she wouldn’t be of much help to him if called as a witness. Giuliani is facing 13 charges, including violations of Georgia’s Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act, soliciting a violation of oath by a public officer, and giving false statements. He has pleaded not guilty to all the charges.

The plea deals made by Sidney Powell and Kenneth Chesebro in the racketeering case may have influenced Ellis’s decision to plead guilty. Hogue stated that the timing of these deals played a significant role in speeding up Ellis’s plea agreement. Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis initially charged Ellis, Trump, Giuliani, and 16 others in August with conspiring to keep Trump in power after the 2020 election. Willis accused Giuliani of participating in racketeering by unlawfully urging Georgia lawmakers to violate their oath and making false statements about voter fraud.

In this ongoing legal saga, it seems that Ellis has taken the first step towards resolution by accepting her guilt. Giuliani, on the other hand, continues to maintain his innocence. Only time will tell how their legal battles will unfold, but it is clear that this is just one chapter in a much larger story.
