Utah Senate Republican candidate and Riverton, Utah, Mayor Trent Staggs has sounded the alarm on the upcoming Senate race, warning that the notorious Mitt Romney is still lurking around like a bad penny, meddling with the establishment candidates vying to take his Senate seat. Staggs, a proud member of the “America First” camp, has been rallying for more conservative senators, like Sens. Mike Lee, Rand Paul, and Rick Scott, to join the ranks and counter the influence of wishy-washy RINOs.

Staggs has been on a crusade to convince Utahns that this election is their chance to swap out retiring Sen. Romney with a bona fide conservative. However, his battle cry has been dampened by the rise of not one, but two establishment puppets itching to replace Romney and undo the strides made by the conservative camp.
One such puppet, as Staggs decries, is former Utah Speaker Brad Wilson, whom he accuses of championing the “RINO Protection Act.” This devious act made it tougher for grassroots conservative candidates to snag the Republican nomination – the very same playbook that propelled Sen. Mike Lee into the Senate. To add insult to injury, Wilson’s bid is being bankrolled by a motley crew of Never Trumpers, Democrats, and Romney loyalists. What a party!
But wait, there’s more! Rep. John Curtis, who’s waltzed into the Utah Senate Republican primary, also finds himself under Staggs’ skeptical eye. According to the mayor, Curtis was a lifelong Democrat before donning the Republican mantle in 2017 – talk about a political turncoat! Staggs lambasts Curtis for his support of the January 6 Committee and his dalliance with voting to impeach the former President Trump. Color Staggs unimpressed.
Staggs made it clear that he’s the only one flying the “America First” flag in this race and proudly flaunted endorsements from conservative heavy-hitters like Mark Levin, Charlie Kirk, Kash Patel, and Kari Lake. In his efforts to spread the word, Staggs took to the airwaves on Breitbart News Saturday, where he issued another rallying cry for conservative Utahns to unite against the two-faced establishment candidates.
The battle lines have been drawn, and Staggs is leading the charge. Will the good folks of Utah heed his call and stand against the tide of RINO sympathizers and flip-floppers? Only time will tell, but one thing’s for sure – the political rumble in Utah is starting to sizzle!
