RNC Defends Trump, Shuts Down Hutchinson’s Ploy to Alter Loyalty Pledge

The Republican National Committee (RNC) has announced that they will continue to stand by former President Trump despite the baseless charges filed against him by the radical Left. Governor Asa Hutchinson (R-Ark) tried to demand that the RNC change the Loyalty Pledge’s requirements for participating in debates, which only asks participants to pledge their support for the eventual Republican presidential nominee. Hutchinson’s request was firmly denied in a “contentious” call with RNC leaders, where they made it clear that they will not be “dealing with hypotheticals” regarding Trump’s legal issues.

RNC senior adviser Richard Walters also had some stern words for GOP primary candidates who refuse to support the RNC’s decision. Walters stated that candidates who cannot respect the voters’ decision and support the nominee “should seriously reconsider their priorities and whether they should even be running.” It’s past time for candidates who complain to the press to get over themselves and focus on what’s important: winning back the White House.

Hutchinson has repeatedly criticized Trump, stating that it’s “offensive” for GOP candidates to promise to pardon him if elected. The former governor has made his disdain for Trump clear, saying that Trump’s 37-count indictment is enough to make him unworthy of the presidency. Hutchinson has even gone as far as to say that he won’t vote for Trump if he’s convicted of espionage or other serious crimes.

Meanwhile, Trump is leading the GOP race and continuing to attract more supporters than his rival, Governor Ron DeSantis (R-FL). Trump has even suggested that he may skip the first debate in August because he’s “up by too many points.” With Trump leading the charge, it’s clear that the RNC is making the right decision in standing by him and refusing to entertain any changes to the debate requirements.

In conclusion, the RNC is right to continue to stand by President Trump, and any GOP candidates who refuse to honor the pledge should reconsider their priorities and whether they’re truly fit to run for office. The Republican Party needs to come together to support our nominee and focus on winning back the White House.
