Ronna McDaniel, the Chairwoman of the Republican National Committee (RNC), is reportedly stepping down from her position after the South Carolina primary. According to The New York Times, McDaniel informed former President Donald Trump of her decision, and Trump is allegedly planning to promote Michael Whatley, the chairman of North Carolina’s Republican Party, as her replacement.
