RSC Battles Biden’s Gun Grab in Bold 2025 Budget Plan

The Republican Study Committee (RSC) has swiftly responded to President Joe Biden's gun-control initiatives through their recently unveiled 2025 budget proposal. Refusing to yield to what they see as Democrats encroaching on Second Amendment rights, the RSC is adamant about safeguarding Americans' ability to bear arms from what they perceive as a liberal onslaught.

In a document obtained by the Daily Caller News Foundation, the RSC condemns the Biden administration's efforts, particularly targeting the ATF's proposed gun registry and the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act, as flagrant violations of constitutional rights. The prospect of yet another government registry raises concerns among RSC members, who view it as an unnecessary intrusion into citizens' privacy.

To counter these perceived threats, the RSC is rallying prominent figures like Reps. Cloud, Gosar, Clyde, Hudson, Duncan, and Good to fortify firearm protections. Their budget proposal underscores a commitment to defending individual liberties and curbing government overreach, characterizing the Left's assault on the Second Amendment as fundamentally un-American.

Initiatives such as Cloud's "No Retaining Every Gun In a System That Restricts Your Rights Act" and Clyde's "Stop Harassing Owners of Rifles Today Act" represent just the initial steps in the RSC's strategy to dismantle what they see as Biden's anti-gun agenda. The overarching goal is to prevent what they perceive as unwarranted government interference that inhibits law-abiding citizens' exercise of their rights.

While President Biden lauds the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act, the RSC remains critical, viewing provisions like red flag laws and expanded background checks for young adults as ineffective and burdensome to responsible gun owners. Instead, they advocate redirecting resources toward more meaningful solutions to address gun violence.

With RSC Chairman Kevin Hern and Budget and Spending Task Force Chairman Ben Cline leading the charge, the upcoming 2025 budget proposal promises a conservative blueprint. Priorities include reducing regulations, upholding conservative principles, and safeguarding social security. This signals a staunch rebuttal to what they perceive as Democratic overreach.

Notably, the White House has refrained from commenting on the DCNF's inquiry, a silence viewed by the RSC as emblematic of liberal reluctance to engage with opposition. Nonetheless, the RSC remains undeterred, steadfast in their commitment to championing constitutional rights and conservative values in the face of political adversity.
