In a surprising turn of events, Democratic Rep. Jamie Raskin of Maryland revealed plans to disqualify former President Donald Trump as an insurrectionist through legislation. The Supreme Court, however, dashed their hopes by ruling that only Congress has the power to enforce the “insurrection clause” of the 14th Amendment. Looks like the Dems will have to come up with a new game plan!

Now, Raskin is trying to use the 2021 impeachment of Trump as a foothold to push their agenda. Typical Democrats, always trying to pull a fast one. Despite the Senate acquitting Trump on charges related to the Capitol riot, Raskin is still clinging to straws, hoping to disqualify Trump through other means. Maybe they should focus on more important matters, like fixing the economy or securing the border.
It’s no surprise that Raskin is teaming up with other liberal colleagues like Debbie Wasserman-Schultz and Eric Swalwell. Birds of a feather flock together, don’t they? It’s like a circus act with these folks, always trying to outdo each other in their quest to take down Trump. But hey, at least they’re getting exercise running in circles with all these wild ideas!
In the face of all this political drama, Trump remains unfazed. His legal spokesperson Alina Habba didn’t even bother to respond to the Dems’ latest antics. Trump knows they’re just barking up the wrong tree. It’s time for the Democrats to put their big boy pants on and face the reality that Trump is not going anywhere. Better luck next time, Raskin and company. Or should we say, no luck at all!
