Some Republicans are scratching their heads over Boebert’s approach. Dick Wadhams, a former chairman of the Colorado Republican Party, expressed confusion over her operating style, noting that she hasn’t made any significant changes. While Boebert claims to be focused on delivering for Colorado’s 3rd District, she hasn’t provided many specifics on what that entails.
Boebert’s narrow victory in the previous election, with a margin of just 564 votes, should serve as a wake-up call. Her district is not as solidly red as she may have believed, and her opponent, who describes himself as a conservative Democrat, could attract enough Trump supporters to make the upcoming rematch fiercely competitive. It’s clear that Boebert needs to step up her game and start focusing on connecting with her constituents on a more personal level.
The mention of ballot harvesting by Boebert is a smart move, as she recognizes the importance of voter turnout. Republicans need to defend this seat and put in the effort to secure victory. The Colorado GOP has been known for infighting, but now is the time for them to rally and support Boebert in her re-election campaign.
