In a shocking turn of events, Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin has come under fire for his lack of transparency regarding his health. Instead of being forthcoming about his January hospitalization and cancer diagnosis, Austin chose to keep this information under wraps from President Joe Biden and other lawmakers. The nerve!
This lack of transparency has sparked outrage from both sides of the aisle, with some calling for Austin’s resignation. And who can blame them? If you can’t trust the Defense Secretary to be honest about his own health, how can you trust him to lead our military?

When Austin finally admitted to his health issues, he took full responsibility for his actions. But that’s not enough to quell the concerns of lawmakers and the American people. It’s a classic case of too little, too late.
