Secret Service Agent Robbed, Fires Gun During Biden’s LA Visit

Authorities said that during President Joe Biden's recent visit to California, a heist targeted a U.S. Secret Service agent. The event happened in Tustin, which is a part of the Los Angeles metropolitan region, on Saturday night. At about 9:30 p.m., the incident occurred while the agent was coming back from a job mission. The Secret Service claims that once the agent's bag was taken, the attacker fired the agent's weapon. It's still unclear if the gunshots struck the attacker.

The U.S. Secret Service officer who was returning from a work assignment in Tustin, California late on Saturday was the victim of an armed robbery, according to Anthony Guglielmi, chief of communications for the agency, who spoke with the Washington Examiner. During the encounter, the employee fired their service weapon; however, it is unclear if this struck the attackers. We are appreciative that the worker did not suffer any harm."

A criminal inquiry into the event has been started by the Tustin Police Department. "The suspect(s) were not located, and it is unknown at this time whether the suspect(s) were injured as a result of the incident," said Tustin Police Lieutenant Patt Nunley. While the event is still being investigated, officers have found some of the victim's possessions in the neighborhood. The public is not recognized to be in danger."

A picture of the suspected attacker's 2004–2006 silver Infiniti FX35 was made public. The Republican National Committee promptly linked the incident to the criminal justice policies of Governor Gavin Newsom and President Joe Biden.

Biden was in Los Angeles for a star-studded gala that drew celebrities and former President Barack Obama when the incident happened.
