State University Takes Wokeness to New Heights in Cancer Doctor Hiring Process
In a groundbreaking move, State University is ensuring that your future cancer doctor will be trained by whoever is the “wokest.” Yes, you read that correctly. San Diego State University has implemented a hiring process for a professor of cancer biology that prioritizes woke ideologies over actual qualifications.
According to the job listing, candidates must hold a doctoral degree and make significant contributions to the scholarly literature. However, that’s not enough for SDSU. Potential candidates must also prove their “enlightenment bonafides” through a Building on Inclusive Excellence form, which asks for specific examples of their involvement in underrepresented communities and their commitment to diversity.
This emphasis on wokeness in the hiring process is becoming a disturbing trend in academia. It seems that instead of focusing on finding the best and brightest minds to tackle the colossal killer known as cancer, universities are more concerned with checking off diversity boxes and prioritizing social justice views.
While it’s important to address inequities and provide equal opportunities, it should never come at the expense of actually qualified individuals. Cancer doesn’t care how woke you are; it just wants to destroy lives. America’s higher learning apparatus needs to prioritize expertise and merit over political correctness if we truly want to make progress in the fight against cancer.
It’s disheartening to see universities like SDSU lose sight of their true purpose – to educate and advance knowledge – and instead obsess over virtue signaling and woke politics. The future of cancer treatment should be in the hands of the most skilled and knowledgeable doctors, not those who excel in the latest woke trend.
As conservatives, we must continue to fight against these misguided priorities and advocate for the fair and merit-based selection of professionals in all fields, including cancer research. Our lives depend on it.
