Donald Trump’s legal team is making moves to change the venue of his 2020 election trial in Georgia to federal court. And let’s be honest, it’s a smart move. Why face a hostile jury in a local court when you can take your chances in federal court where cameras aren’t allowed? No need for the Democrats to turn it into a sideshow for their own political gain.
In New York, Trump’s request for a change of venue in his trial for Stormy Daniels’ hush money payments was rejected. But that was New York, a state known for its liberal bias. Georgia is a different story. Trump’s lawyers argue that the alleged criminal conduct of covering up reimbursement payments happened while he was president, so it should be dealt with in federal court. It just makes sense.
And let’s not forget about the prosecutor in this case, Alvin Bragg, who is funded by none other than George Soros. We all know how Soros loves to meddle in our justice system. It’s completely inappropriate for a local prosecutor to go after a former president for something that pertains to a federal election. This is clearly a politically motivated case.
Fulton County district attorney Fani Willis is accusing Trump and his so-called “co-conspirators” of a “criminal enterprise” to overturn Biden’s victory. Give me a break. If anyone knows about criminal enterprises, it’s the Democrats. They’ve been trying to undermine Trump since day one. Moving the trial to federal court would at least broaden the jury pool and give Trump a fair shot.
It’s not just Trump who wants the trial moved to federal court. His former chief of staff Mark Meadows and former DOJ official Jeffrey Clark are also requesting the same. Unfortunately for Meadows, his request was denied. But it just shows how desperate the Democrats are to keep this trial in their backyard.
This whole proceeding is nothing more than a witch hunt. The grand jury impaneled by Willis wants to bring charges against three Republican allies in the Senate, including Lindsey Graham. It’s clear that they are out to get anyone who dares to support Trump. This is just further evidence of the Democrats’ never-ending vendetta against him.
So, let’s hope that Trump’s request to move the trial to federal court is granted. It’s his right to seek a fair and impartial trial, and federal court seems like the best option. The Democrats can’t be trusted to handle this case fairly, and we need to ensure that justice is served.
