Soros-Backed Prosecutors Face Rejection as Crime Soars in US Cities

Prosecutors who received money from George Soros-backed political groups are facing tough elections and even recalls as crime remains a big issue in American cities. Recently, the district attorney in charge of Portland lost his bid for reelection, and the Los Angeles district attorney is facing difficulties as well. Soros has supported many prosecutors across the country, but voters in places like Loudoun County and San Francisco have rejected them.

The Protecting Americans Action Fund, led by Virginia’s Attorney General Jason Miyares, aims to defeat these liberal prosecutors. They believe that these prosecutors are too lenient on crime and prioritize criminals over victims. It’s important to stand with law enforcement and make sure that our laws are properly enforced, according to the Fund’s Executive Director Ada Furciniti.

Mike Schmidt, the Multnomah County District Attorney in Portland, who got $213,000 from Soros, lost his reelection bid recently. Crime in Portland went up under his watch, and he declined to prosecute some protestors during the 2020 riots. Another prosecutor, Pamela Price in Alameda County, is also facing backlash for what some activists see as contributing to a rise in crime.

In Los Angeles, District Attorney George Gascon, supported by Soros, might also be in trouble as polling shows a challenger leading him by a significant margin. Gascon’s policies have led to an increase in homicides and shootings in the area, and Soros has donated millions to support him. Additionally, Hinds County District Attorney Jody Owens, backed by Soros, had federal agents raid his business, and his jurisdiction, Jackson, saw a high number of homicides in 2022.

It’s clear that Soros-backed prosecutors are facing scrutiny and pushback from voters, as crime rates continue to be a major issue in many cities. Conservatives believe that it’s important to elect officials who prioritize law and order, and ensure that criminals are held accountable for their actions.
