They emphasized that true freedom is a gift from God, and losing it would be a great mistake. This story starts with the belief that, as a nation, people have been given this incredible value and freedom by their Creator. But how, some wonder, could anyone trust in these words without a belief in God?
Now, anyone who’s done their history homework remembers the gigantic struggle to end slavery over a century ago. Abraham Lincoln, an iconic figure of freedom, showed what believing in liberty truly looked like. Fast-forward through time, and this party of liberty claims it’s stuck to those principles.
