Sunny Hostin, co-host of The View, managed to dig herself a deeper hole this week while tackling the supposed “controversy” surrounding Brittany Mahomes, wife of NFL quarterback Patrick Mahomes. After Brittany dared to like a social media post from former President Donald Trump, Hostin quickly jumped on the opportunity to launch a tirade, questioning Brittany’s parental judgment because her children are biracial. Apparently, liking a post is now akin to endorsing racism, at least in the eyes of the outrage brigade.
In the world of liberal commentators, liking an Instagram post is a grave offense, especially when it involves a powerful Republican icon. Hostin had to put on her judgmental hat, claiming that, as an interracial mother, Brittany should know better than her social media interactions. It’s curious that some people feel entitled to critique others’ personal lives and parenting decisions based on their political beliefs, but here we are. It turns out Hostin believes that Brittany, simply by existing in an interracial marriage, should automatically fall in line with liberal ideology, because, naturally, logic is a rare commodity among the left.

It’s amazing how these leftist intellectuals can create a mountain out of a molehill while ignoring the core principle of freedom of expression. Griffin’s logic, tucked safely under the microscope of liberal thought, highlights an uncomfortable truth: even the simplest actions, like “liking” a social media post, can be dissected and used as fodder for judgment in their hyper-partisan universe.
And as if to sprinkle some extra confusion into the mix, pop star Taylor Swift has recently been spotted with the Mahomes family, thanks to her newfound relationship with Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. With Swift’s endorsement of Vice President Kamala Harris hanging over her head like a poorly timed punchline, one wonders how much more of this drama the social media world can handle. All in all, the incident serves as a reminder that as long as one strays from the liberal playbook, be prepared for prying eyes and harrowing critiques—all in the name of “inclusivity.”
