Troy Nehls, a Republican representative from Texas, made a bold statement during a hearing regarding the report of John Durham, a special counsel. He revealed that Congressman Eric Swalwell had a sexual relationship with a Chinese honey trap known as Fang Fang. This move was immediately criticized by the Democrats on the committee.
In his statement, Nehls compared the false claims about the "pee tape" to the allegations about Swalwell's affair with Fang Fang. He stated that even though the former's alleged ties with a Chinese spy were publicized, the claim was a new low in the intelligence community's efforts to influence the election.
This isn't the first time that Nehls has criticized Swalwell for his affair with Fang Fang. In April, he apologized to Rodriguez for the way she was treated by Swalwell. He then used the Capitol riot as an example of how the former harassed her.

While some people may argue that the behavior exhibited by Swalwell during the hearing went against the norms of civility, it should be noted that he is not an average congressman. His conduct not only put the members of the committee at risk, but it also threatened the very fabric of democracy in the country. Republicans should not only criticize him, but they should also target his policies.
Since Swalwell has a past that could be described as a "checkered record," his behavior with Fang Fang was no surprise. Republicans should take advantage of every opportunity to criticize him when his unethical practices come to light.
