In the latest move by woke corporations to appease radical leftists, retail giant Target has donated funds to a group calling for the closure of the iconic and historic Mount Rushmore. The South Dakota-based nonprofit organization, NDN Collective, received support from Target, claiming that the monument is “an international symbol of white supremacy.” The group has also demanded the return of all public lands in the Black Hills of South Dakota, something that Target has sadly sided with.

NDN Collective has been campaigning to dismantle white supremacy and systems of oppression by claiming that Mount Rushmore is a symbol of colonization and white supremacy. In their pursuit of Indigenous land, which is at the core of their campaign, the group has chanted slogans used by terrorist organizations that advocate for the destruction of Israel. This level of extremism is something that Target should be ashamed of supporting.
Notably, NDN Collective’s views on the US military are hostile and extreme. They believe that the US military and police exist solely for the eradication of indigenous people, a baseless and inflammatory statement that defames the brave men and women who serve our country. Target should face severe backlash over their support for such an extremist group and their dangerous ideals.
Target has also faced criticism in the past for selling satanic merchandise. In a move to appease conservative shoppers, Target was forced to pull such satanic items and its controversial LGBT Pride Collection following a massive backlash. But with their current support for the extremist NDN Collective, it is clear that Target has not learned from their previous mistakes of appeasing radical leftists and religious extremists. It is high time that they are held accountable for their actions and stop caving into radical agendas.
