America lost a true patriot yesterday when Charlie Kirk was gunned down by a coward at Utah Valley University. The 31-year-old conservative leader was doing what he did best – standing up for American values and challenging young people to think for themselves. This was not some random act of violence but a targeted assassination of one of our movement’s brightest voices.
Kirk was hosting his famous “Prove Me Wrong” event when a shooter fired from a rooftop like the coward he is. These events let students debate Kirk face-to-face about politics and culture. Instead of engaging in honest debate, some sick individual chose murder to silence conservative ideas.
The left has spent years calling conservatives dangerous while their own rhetoric gets more violent every day. They paint patriots like Kirk as threats to democracy when all he did was encourage young Americans to love their country. Now we see who the real threats are – the radicals who cannot win with words so they turn to bullets.
Kirk dedicated his life to saving America’s youth from woke indoctrination on college campuses. He traveled the country showing students there was another way besides the liberal lies their professors fed them. His Turning Point USA reached millions of young Americans with the message of freedom and traditional values.
President Trump perfectly captured what we lost when he called Kirk “Great, and even Legendary.” Kirk understood young people better than anyone in our movement. He knew how to speak their language while never compromising on conservative principles.
The FBI is offering 100,000 dollars for information about this assassination. They say they have good video of the killer and are going door-to-door in Utah neighborhoods. Every patriot should pray they catch this domestic terrorist before he strikes again.
This attack proves that conservatives are under siege in America today. The left cannot defeat our ideas in the marketplace of thought so they resort to violence. Kirk put his life on the line every day to change hearts and minds on hostile college campuses.
We cannot let the cowards win by silencing our voices through fear. Charlie Kirk died fighting for the soul of America and we must honor his memory by continuing that fight. The best way to defeat these terrorists is to speak even louder for freedom and never back down.
