Texas Democrats have once again shown their true colors by running away from their jobs like cowards. These elected officials took an oath to serve the people of Texas, but instead they fled the state when things didn’t go their way. This is what happens when liberals can’t win fair and square.
Judge Andrew Napolitano explained that these runaway Democrats can be arrested, but only if they return to Texas. The law is clear that civil arrest warrants work when they’re back home in the Lone Star State. Governor Abbott has the power to bring them back to do their jobs, but his hands are tied while they hide out like fugitives.
The Constitution protects interstate travel, which these Democrats are using as a shield. They know they can’t be dragged back across state lines by force. This loophole lets them abandon their duties while still collecting paychecks from hardworking Texas taxpayers.
What makes this even worse is that these same Democrats lecture us about democracy and doing what’s right. Now they prove they only believe in democracy when they’re winning. When Texans vote for conservative policies, suddenly these liberals don’t want to play by the rules anymore.
The Texas Rangers and FBI can’t touch them while they’re out of state. These Democrats are basically holding the entire Texas legislature hostage with their childish tantrum. They’re stopping important business that affects millions of Texans who deserve better than this circus.
This isn’t the first time Texas Democrats have pulled this stunt. Back in 1979, liberal senators called the Killer Bees did the same thing and hid in a garage. Even then, Democrats couldn’t handle losing and had to run away from their responsibilities.
The bottom line is simple: if you can’t do your job, then quit and let someone else do it. These Democrats are proving they don’t deserve the trust Texas voters placed in them. They’re more interested in political games than serving the people who elected them.
Real Texans don’t run from a fight, but these Democrats sure do. When they finally come crawling back, they should face the consequences for abandoning their posts. Texas deserves leaders who show up and do the work, not politicians who throw fits and flee like children.
