This week, the great state of Texas took matters into its own hands and sent over 120 illegal aliens to Democrat-run “sanctuary cities” in an effort to give them a taste of their own medicine. The first flight from El Paso landed in the windy city of Chicago, with the Texas Department of Emergency Management chartering the plane.

Gov. Greg Abbott’s (R-TX) office proudly announced that all the illegal migrants signed waivers just like they do when they’re bussed around. His office also confirmed that he’s already bussed over 82,900 illegal migrants to liberal cities like Washington, D.C.; New York City; Chicago; Philadelphia; Denver; and Los Angeles. Abbott is not backing down, declaring that he will keep bussing them to these sanctuary cities “until [President] Biden secures the border.”
Chicago has seen an influx of over 26,000 illegal aliens since last year. Not only that, nearly 1,200 migrants have been camping out at O’Hare Airport and several police stations. The city has set aside nearly $24 million to winterize tents to house the thousands of illegal migrants who have swept into the city during the chilly months.
Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson accused Abbott of “lawlessness,” claiming that Abbott is trying to sneak around the law. However, Abbott’s press secretary didn’t take too kindly to Johnson’s comments, criticizing the mayor for “spreading falsehoods and complaining about a few thousand migrants being bussed into his sanctuary city.”
As if things couldn’t get any worse, Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is facing an all-time high in illegal migrant crossings every day, with over 10,000 encounters each day. In December, CBP sources showed that total migrant encounters have surpassed 190,000, and this number is on track to break the record set in September, with an outrageous 269,000 encounters in that month.
