It’s time for some Texas-sized news that’s sure to make liberals cringe! The Texas Department of Public Safety just announced their latest genius plan to keep illegal immigrants out: a brand-spanking-new floating barrier on the Rio Grande. A barrier so effective, it’ll make the Great Wall of China look like a picket fence.

The Associated Press reported that large, attention-grabbing orange buoys have made their way to Eagle Pass, the border city that is about to become even more impenetrable. Lt. Chris Olivarez, the spokesperson for Texas DPS, revealed that it might take up to two weeks to finish installing these bad boys. But let’s be honest, good things come to those who wait, and those who wait tend to be on the right side of history.

Once these magnificent buoys are in place, they will cover a whopping 1,000 feet of the Rio Grande. That’s right, folks, 1,000 feet of watery no-man’s land for those who dare to cross illegally. With anchors firmly planted in the riverbed, no one will be able to waltz across like they’re on some sort of illegal immigration vacation.
Now, you might be thinking, what do the Republicans have to say about this epic deterrent? Well, fret not! Our fearless GOP Texas Governor Greg Abbott expressed his unwavering support for this tactic last month. “We always look to employ whatever strategies will be effective in securing the border,” he proclaimed. Now that’s what I call a leader who knows how to take action!
But it doesn’t end there, my fellow conservatives. Texas DPS Director Steven McCraw even chimed in during a press conference, declaring, “Anytime they get in that water, it’s a risk to the migrants. This is the deterrent from even coming in the water.” So not only are we protecting our borders, but we’re also protecting those poor misguided souls who might be fooled into thinking crossing the border is a good idea. Talk about compassion and good ol’ Texan hospitality!
Of course, as expected, the leftist troublemakers wasted no time trying to rain on our parade. NewsNation reported that a pesky lawsuit was filed as soon as the buoys arrived in Eagle Pass. Can you believe it? They claim that Governor Abbott doesn’t have the authority to install these mighty barriers. But fear not, my friends, because Abbott himself swiftly responded with a tweet that sent shivers down the spines of liberal lawyers everywhere: “We will see you in court. Texas has a constitutional right to secure our border.” Boom! You tell ’em, Governor!
And just when you think this news couldn’t get any more infuriating for the radical left, Townhall dropped a bombshell last week. They reported that four unlucky souls, including a baby, tragically lost their lives while attempting to cross the Rio Grande near Eagle Pass. This heartbreaking incident is a stark reminder of the dangers involved in crossing the border illegally. It’s precisely why we need these barriers, folks. We’re not heartless conservatives; we’re protectors of life and defenders of the law.
So, there you have it, a winning strategy straight from the Lone Star State! With these buoyant beauties bobbing gracefully in the Rio Grande, illegal immigrants will surely think twice before trying to invade our great nation.
