A battle over a portrait in Colorado has only underlined the deep divisions plaguing our nation. A painting of President Donald Trump has been taken down in the Colorado State Capitol and replaced with one approved by the White House. This move speaks volumes about the relentless and often petty campaign by the left to undermine anything associated with Trump. In a time when we should be respecting all our presidents, this repeated attack on Trump shows how low the radical left is willing to stoop.
The original portrait accused of being “purposefully distorted” by Trump was replaced following his complaints. What’s fascinating is the acceptance by the left of inaccuracies in art—so long as it serves their agenda. To add insult to injury, they only acted after Trump’s vocal critique and the outcry from everyday citizens who recognized the portrait for what it truly was: a deliberate misrepresentation. Fortunately, there’s one thing Trump has proven time and again—he knows how to fight back against the liberal machine.

The artist, Sarah Boardman, defended her work as being “neutral.” But let’s call it what it is—a portrait that stripped Trump of the dignity every sitting president deserves. Boardman’s supposed neutrality conveniently aligns with a biased mainstream narrative that seeks to erase Trump’s significant achievements from our history. Let’s not forget, the same artist painted former President Obama in a “wonderful” light. Was neutrality ever really the aim?
Now, with a fresh portrait by Vanessa Horabuena, Trump supporters can at least see a semblance of honesty restored in the halls of Colorado’s capitol. The painting, bolstered by public opinion polls, was met with approval from the majority. Is it any surprise that when electing officials and leaders are more concerned with distorted photographs than tackling pressing crime rates, track records falter?
This portrait drama is nothing but a microcosm of the broader fight overcoming liberal hypocrisy and restoring American pride and values. As the Democrats in leadership continue to falter, one must wonder: when will they learn that their endless games are putting them on the wrong side of history?
