A bipartisan effort is underway to force TikTok’s parent company, the shadowy ByteDance, to sever ties with its Chinese overlords or face a swift ban from app stores across our great nation. It’s about time we stood up to these foreign adversaries who seek to use our own technology against us!
ByteDance, a company with connections to the authoritarian regime in Beijing, has long been suspected of spying on our citizens and jeopardizing our national security. This move to demand divestment is a crucial step in safeguarding our freedoms and protecting our sovereignty.
Republican Rep. Mike Gallagher, a true patriot and co-sponsor of the legislation, boldly declared, “Break up with the Chinese Communist Party or lose access to your American users.” Amen, Congressman! It’s high time we kicked these Communist cronies out of our digital lives and reclaimed our online independence.
Democrats are also joining the fight for freedom, with Rep. Raja Krishnamoorthi urging ByteDance to sell TikTok and let American users enjoy their goofy videos in peace. It’s heartening to see bipartisan unity in the face of such a dangerous threat.
TikTok’s feeble attempts to portray the legislation as an attack on free speech and small businesses are nothing but a smokescreen. We must see through their propaganda and recognize this for what it is: a necessary measure to protect our nation from foreign interference and ensure our security.
And to top it off, even the White House is signaling support for the bill, despite the previous administration’s dalliance with TikTok. President Biden’s team understands the urgency of this issue and is committed to safeguarding our national security above all else. It’s a refreshing change to have leaders who prioritize America’s interests over social media fads.

Let’s stand together and celebrate this victory for freedom, as we rid ourselves of this Chinese-controlled menace once and for all. True conservatives know that protecting our country comes first, no matter what dances we might miss out on.
