Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) finds herself in hot water once again, as she continues to face backlash for her support of the Hamas-run Palestinian Authority and her vocal criticism of Israel. In a recent confrontation with Real America’s Voice host Ben Bergquam, Tlaib allegedly became agitated and summoned Capitol Police after yelling at Bergquam to identify himself.

Posting the encounter on social media, Bergquam criticized Tlaib, dubbing her a “Jihad squad” member and calling for her censure. He questioned how someone who actively opposes the government can be allowed to represent it, adding, “Secure our borders and deport all terrorist sympathizers.”

Tlaib’s controversial statements have drawn bipartisan criticism. She has accused Israel of bombing a hospital, despite evidence pointing to an errant rocket fired by the Hamas-aligned group Islamic Jihad. Reports confirmed that the hospital was largely intact, with only minor damage to the parking area.
Israel Defense Force spokesman Jonathan Conricus spoke out against Hamas’s manipulation tactics, accusing them of using civilians to leverage pressure on Israel. It appears Tlaib may have fallen victim to or willingly participated in this manipulation.
When confronted by Bergquam outside her office, Tlaib refused to denounce Hamas and accused him of dehumanizing Palestinians. Bergquam fired back, claiming that she was the one supporting terrorists. Tensions escalated as Tlaib entered her office and reportedly yelled, leading to the summoning of Capitol Police.
Bergquam later posted a less-than-flattering image of Tlaib, humorously noting, “The face Rashida Tlaib makes when you ask her why she supports Hamas terrorists.” This incident further fuels the controversy surrounding Tlaib’s divisive views and actions.
It is deeply concerning to see a member of Congress openly support a terrorist organization like Hamas. Tlaib’s refusal to denounce Hamas and her erroneous accusations against Israel only serve to perpetuate anti-Israel sentiment and endanger the stability in the region. It is imperative that elected officials prioritize the safety and security of their own country rather than aligning themselves with known terrorists. The call for Tlaib’s censure is a necessary step in holding her accountable for her dangerous rhetoric.
