The MEANS TV X (formerly Twitter) account recently posted a pro-Hamas digital ad that has caused quite a stir. The ad features footage from the Israel-Hamas War and pro-Hamas protests across the country. What’s alarming is that Rep. Rashida Tlaib, a member of the Squad known for her anti-Israel stance, is tagged in the post and appears in the ad. She can be seen delivering a message to President Joe Biden, essentially saying that the American people are not with him and they won’t forget his actions in 2024.

The ad includes scenes from protests in Michigan, Tlaib’s home state, where massive crowds can be heard chanting “from the river to the sea,” a slogan advocating for the death of Jews and the destruction of Israel. The ad also accuses Biden of supporting the genocide of the Palestinian people and warns him to support a ceasefire or risk losing support in the future.
It’s unfortunate that the ad fails to mention the terrorist attack carried out by Hamas against Israel on October 7. Over 1,400 Israelis, including innocent men, women, and children, were brutally killed in this barbaric act. Even babies and elderly Holocaust survivors were not spared. It’s important to shed light on the horrors that Israelis have endured at the hands of Hamas.
In the aftermath of this attack, there have been reports of anonymous White House staffers expressing their dissatisfaction with Biden’s support for Israel. Muslim Americans, particularly in key swing states like Michigan, are feeling betrayed by the president. These voters played a significant role in his victory in 2020, but now they are expressing frustration and even considering withholding their support in the future.
While it’s true that Muslims make up a small percentage of the population, their votes can be critical in battleground states. Michigan alone has an estimated 240,000 Muslims, and Biden won the state by a slim margin. It’s clear that Biden cannot afford to lose the Muslim vote if he wants to secure victory in upcoming elections.
Despite these reports and the pro-Hamas ad, multiple polls have shown that the majority of Americans still support Israel. However, there are some concerning trends among certain demographics, particularly younger Americans who are more exposed to anti-Israel propaganda on platforms like TikTok. This demonstrates the importance of countering false narratives and educating young people about the reality of the Israel-Hamas conflict.
In the midst of this controversy, a censure vote is expected to take place against Rep. Rashida Tlaib for her own anti-Israel and anti-Semitic lies. It’s interesting to note that some House Republicans may actually come to her defense, which is certainly cause for concern.
