The swamp finally drains a little more with the retirement of Dan Newhouse, one of the ten so-called Republicans who turned traitor and voted to impeach President Trump. Newhouse’s exit from Congress is a win for conservatives, proving that those who betray their party for a slice of liberal approval can’t hold office forever. His decision not to run for reelection spares him the humiliation of facing a rightfully indignant conservative base that would have ousted him in the primaries.
Representing Washington’s Fourth District, Newhouse betrayed his conservative constituents when he sided with left-wing radicals in the witch hunt against Trump after the January 6 protest. It showed just how far some Republicans were willing to go to undermine true conservative values. Newhouse’s constituents, mostly hardworking Americans from a rural and agricultural stronghold, deserved better than to be represented by someone who chose D.C. political games over their interests.

This is a huge opportunity for conservatives in Washington’s Fourth District. Now, they can elect a true patriot. Jerrod Sessler, a fighter with Trump’s spirit, has expressed renewed vigor in his quest to reclaim the seat for the conservative cause. This district, classified as strong Republican territory, needs someone who champions American greatness and doesn’t cower at the altar of political correctness.
The impeachment vote should be a scarlet letter for any Republican who dared betray their base. Newhouse and his impeachment cohort learned the hard way: betrayals against President Trump are not easily forgiven—and certainly not forgotten. Voter trust isn’t just given; it’s earned through steadfast loyalty to the values that make America strong and free.
Newhouse isn’t just leaving; he’s making room for real leaders who proudly wave the banner of American exceptionalism. The question now is whether more so-called Republicans will fall in line or face the same fate. Will they get with the program or face retirement? Winter is coming for RINOs across the land, and they have only themselves to blame.
