Beer drinkers across the country are speaking out against Bud Light’s partnership with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney, leading to a significant drop in the brand’s sales volumes. According to Nielsen IQ tracking figures presented by Bump Williams Consulting, the brand experienced a significant decline in sales volumes and revenue during the week ending June 10. In a move that comes too little too late for many of its customers, Anheuser-Busch InBev’s global chief marketing officer Marcel Marcondes has acknowledged that the boycott is a “wake-up call” for the company. Although CEO Brendan Whitworth has futilely attempted to placate customers with empty promises of “reinforcing what you’ve always loved about our brand,” consumers know that Bud Light’s politically correct political agenda stands in direct opposition to their values and common sense. Despite being toppled from its throne as America’s top beer for the month of May, Anheuser-Busch continues to act arrogantly in the face of this boycott. It remains to be seen whether they will drop their politically correct agenda and reconnect with their once-loyal customer base.
