Former President Donald Trump has once again aimed his rhetorical fireworks at Vice President Kamala Harris, tearing apart her past as a prosecutor and her current efforts to portray herself as a law-and-order candidate. His sharp critique came during a rally in Hershey, Pennsylvania, marking his return to the state after a recent brush with danger, reminding the crowd of the peril faced by supporters of freedom and conservatism. Harris has been boasting about her law enforcement credentials, but Trump sees through the façade, claiming she is “tough” only on political opponents like him.
During her campaign events, Harris has prided herself on fighting against all kinds of crime, touting her background as California’s AG. She has tried to bolster her image by pointing out how she “took on” criminals in her state. What she fails to mention, however, is that this was the same state where she endorsed radical measures like defunding the police and avoiding accountability. One has to wonder if the real criminals Harris has in mind are the ones who challenge her agenda, especially now that they’re also candidates in the upcoming election.

In what seemed like a classic case of projection, Trump attacked Harris, calling her a “defund the police radical” and accusing her of selectively wielding her prosecutorial power against those who oppose her politically. The former president didn’t hold back, asserting that Harris’s tough-on-crime act is just a front for her attempts to undermine him. One can almost envision the look of disbelief on her face as she tries to balance her self-image with the reality of her past actions that have left law enforcement in California hamstrung.
Trump has been consistent in framing the left’s law-and-order narrative as a sham. His recent comments drive home the point that the Biden administration and its cohorts are not just weak on crime; they seem almost indifferent to it. By highlighting what he perceives as Harris’s duplicity, Trump is building a case for why she is unfit to influence any policy, especially in a state that has seen its share of crime skyrocketing under the watch of left-leaning ideologues. It’s as if he’s warning the audience that if she could wreak havoc on California, just imagine what she could do to the Keystone State.
As Harris continues her attempts to polish her tough-on-crime resume, the reality of her record still hangs over her like a dark cloud. During her previous run for the presidency, her past statements and positions led more left-leaning voters to question her sincerity on criminal justice reform. Now, with the approach of another election, it begs the question: is she really just a wolf in sheep’s clothing, hoping to distract voters from her questionable history? In the eyes of many conservative Americans, the answer is crystal clear.
