In a surprising turn of events, a Cook County judge has made the outrageous decision to remove former President Donald Trump from the Illinois GOP primary ballot. This judge, Tracie Porter, caved into the demands of a group of voters who couldn’t accept the fact that Trump was rightfully on the ballot. These voters claimed that Trump’s alleged involvement in the January 6th insurrection and supposed 14th Amendment violations were grounds for removing him from the ballot.

Thankfully, State Rep. Chris Miller, R-Oakland, has vowed to fight this decision tooth and nail. He’s absolutely right – Trump should be on the ballot until the United States Supreme Court, the ultimate authority, resolves this madness. And what about the people who have already voted for Trump in the primary? Does their voice not matter? They exercised their right to vote, and now their choice is being threatened.
Not only that, another Republican representative, Adam Niemerg, was also unfairly tossed off the ballot by the state elections board just because of some technicality about not raising his right hand when signing his statement of candidacy. Ridiculous! Niemerg rightly compared his situation to the injustices faced by President Trump.
And if that wasn’t enough, an Illinois voter objected to President Joe Biden’s nominating papers and a group of voters also objected to Biden being on the ballot. It’s about time someone called out Biden’s open border policies and alleged treason, yet the Illinois State Board of Elections allowed Biden to stay on the ballot despite these valid objections.
The actions of Gov. J.B. Pritzker and the General Assembly are also under scrutiny, with the recent law limiting where people can challenge the constitutionality of state statutes. This kind of scheming to silence conservative voices and limit their ability to challenge the status quo is outrageous. Miller and Niemerg are absolutely right to raise questions about this blatant attempt to stifle dissent.
It’s clear that the Democrats are working hand in hand with woke special interest groups to target conservatives and manipulate the election process to their advantage. This kind of underhanded behavior is exactly what’s wrong with politics today. It’s time for the silent majority to stand up and demand fairness and justice in our elections. The fight is far from over, and the Republicans won’t back down in the face of such blatant bias and manipulation.
