Former President Donald Trump criticized President Joe Biden on Christmas, accusing Biden of using the justice system to try to lock him up. In a pair of posts on Truth Social, Trump railed against what he called “illegal election interference” by the Biden administration and attorneys general and district attorneys across the country. Trump predicted a “glorious victory” for his supporters in the 2024 election, despite ongoing legal challenges.

Trump lamented the holiday season, claiming it’s difficult to celebrate with a “Crooked and Incompetent President” in power who Trump believes is working to imprison him. He rallied his base, declaring, “We are in the fight of our lives to save our Country from MADNESS & DOOM. MAGA 2024!!!”
Despite facing charges at both the federal and state levels, Trump has garnered unwavering support from Republicans, positioning him as the leading GOP candidate in the upcoming Iowa caucuses. He also maintains an advantage in polls against Biden. This comes as Biden’s approval rating hits a low, with only 39 percent of Americans approving of his job performance, according to Gallup.
The indictments against Trump have galvanized Republican backing, with many viewing the legal proceedings as politically motivated attacks on the former president. Despite facing a daunting total of 91 charges, Trump’s defiant stance and continued popularity among Republicans suggest a fervent fight ahead in the legal and political arenas.
