The whole debacle started when Trump took to his social media platform, Truth Social, to express his concerns about Greenfield. He pointed out a photograph she took with Democrat New York Sen. Chuck Schumer and dared to suggest that she might be influencing the case against him. Talk about a disgraceful situation!
But it seems Trump’s criticism struck a nerve, because New York State Judge Arthur Engoron wasted no time in issuing a gag order against the former president. Engoron claimed that Trump’s remarks were a personal attack on a member of his team. Oh, how convenient. It seems like the judiciary is more interested in silencing those who question their actions than addressing the concerns raised.
As more details emerge, it becomes clear that Greenfield had her own political ambitions. She ran in the Democratic primary for a Manhattan civil court judge seat, hoping to extend her influence even further. However, her campaign largely fell flat, with only two write-in votes in the primary election. It seems the voters weren’t too impressed with her qualifications after all.
But wait, there’s more! Greenfield’s financial contributions to the Democratic Party have also come to light. She has donated thousands of dollars to local Democratic candidates and branches. And let’s not forget her most recent donation to the Jim Owles Liberal Democratic Club, an LGBT branch of the Manhattan Democratic Party. It’s starting to become clear where her allegiances lie.
The timing of the gag order is highly suspicious. It comes right after Trump criticized the judge’s ruling that valued his Mar-a-Lago property at a mere $18 million, a stark contrast to Trump’s own valuation of $1.8 billion. This ruling is part of a civil case brought by New York Attorney General Letitia James, who seems determined to bring down Trump at any cost. It’s clear that the judiciary is playing favorites and trying to silence anyone who dares to question their biased actions.
In the end, it’s just another example of the left’s attempt to silence conservative voices and protect their own. Greenfield’s political affiliations and donations raise serious concerns about her impartiality in the case against Trump. But instead of addressing those concerns, the judge chooses to silence Trump through a gag order.
