Conservatives echoed Trump’s sentiments, cautioning that Shanahan’s far-left stance is a “major red flag” for independent and centrist voters who are fed up with rising crime. They pointed to her six-figure contributions to George Gascon, a Soros-backed prosecutor they blame for wrecking San Francisco.
Furthermore, prominent voices on the right, such as Charlie Kirk, Richard Grenell, and Dinesh D’Souza, chimed in to assert that RFK Jr.’s choice of Shanahan would likely siphon votes away from Biden, posing a threat to his chances in battleground states. Fox News’s Jesse Watters suggested that Shanahan’s financial backing is crucial for RFK Jr.’s ballot access as an independent and predicted that he could pull more support from Biden than Trump.
The conservative view of the development is clear: the combination of RFK Jr.’s radical leftist platform and Shanahan’s deep pockets could spell trouble for Biden and benefit Trump’s chances in the upcoming election.
