The Biden campaign, through a social media account, taunted Trump’s denial of freezing on stage, suggesting that he did indeed experience a freeze during his speech. This comes as Trump has previously criticized President Joe Biden for his verbal fumbles and alleged struggles to speak coherently.
In his speech to the NRA, Trump emphasized the importance of gun ownership and urged gun owners to vote in elections. He described gun owners as a “rebellious bunch” and encouraged them to exercise their voting rights. He also received the endorsement of the NRA’s lobbying arm during the event, a nod of support that he has previously secured in the 2016 and 2020 presidential races.
During his address, Trump also floated the idea of potentially seeking a third term as president and running again in 2028, should he win the upcoming election. However, he had previously indicated that he would not support challenging the 22nd Amendment, which restricts presidents to two terms in office.
