Former President Donald Trump is making a big splash on TikTok with over 4 million followers, leaving the Biden-Harris HQ account far behind with only about 347,000 followers. Trump’s first video on the platform, featuring UFC President Dana White, has been viewed a whopping 66.6 million times. This surge comes as Trump has been under scrutiny following a hush money trial in Manhattan, where he was found guilty of all 34 counts, making him the first former U.S. president to be convicted of a felony crime.
In contrast, the Biden-Harris HQ’s account, promoting President Joe Biden and his re-election campaign, has struggled to gain traction, with just over 347,000 followers since launching in mid-February. Even their latest video, discussing a report about Trump’s alleged use of a racial slur, has only garnered about 1.3 million views, and the account as a whole has received about 4.5 million likes, which pales in comparison to the likes on Trump’s sole video in just two days.
NEW: Donald Trump has amassed over 1.1 million followers on TikTok in just 10 hours after he announced at UFC 302 that he was joining the app.
For comparison, the Biden campaign has been on the app for months and only has 335k followers.

Despite signing a bill that could potentially ban TikTok in the United States, Biden has been active on the platform. Trump has reminded younger people that it was “crooked Joe Biden” who was responsible for the potential ban, despite the fact that he himself once advocated for banning TikTok during his presidency. Trump has since changed his tune on the platform, now warning that banning TikTok would only serve to bolster Facebook’s dominance, a platform he has criticized as the “enemy of the people” for censoring stories related to Hunter Biden just weeks before the 2020 presidential election.
