There is nothing more refreshing than a leader who sticks to their guns, and President Trump is showing once again he means business. The liberal media is already in a tizzy over the decision to show Cameron Hamilton, the acting head of FEMA, the door. Why? Because he dared to go against Trump’s vision of trimming the bloated agency.
Hamilton, a classic example of Washington bureaucrats, took his shot at Congress, singing a different tune from the President. Instead of getting on board with a streamlined, efficient FEMA, Hamilton chose to dig in his heels against change. That’s the last thing America needs. In a city drowning in red tape that hinders progress, Trump knows it’s time to cut it down to size.

We all know how Democrats love to balloon government agencies with endless funding and little accountability. FEMA, under Hamilton’s hesitant leadership, looked to maintain the status quo. But Trump, like a true businessman, knows better. He sees the massive waste and inefficiency within the agency and is not afraid to make the tough call to wind it down. That’s what you do when something doesn’t work—you fix it or nix it.
Liberal pundits are already crying foul over Trump’s decision, but what did they expect? Hamilton was supposed to work for the people by following the President’s lead. Instead, he played the classic game of dissent-loved by the left—of doing as he pleases without regard to the big picture America needs. Trump’s America doesn’t have time for bureaucrats stuck in the past. We need leaders ready to shed government fat and work tirelessly for the citizens.
Is it really such a shocker that a non-functioning part of government is getting slimmed down? If anything, Trump’s move is a clear message: either help make America great again or pack your bags.
