It’s time for Cuba’s communist dictators to face reality. President Trump has laid it out plain and simple: Cuba can either step into the light with America and freedom, or cling to tyranny and pay the price. Trump isn’t interested in the phony handshakes or backroom deals that Obama and Biden loved so much. There’s no room here for the weak, limp-wristed approach that treats brutal communists like friends. Instead, Trump offers something tough, but honest—a real chance for the Cuban people to break free.
The Castro-worshipping regime thinks it can pull off the same scam it’s been running for decades, surviving off propaganda and foreign handouts. Enough is enough. Trump has shown them two futures. Either they crumble like Maduro’s failed Venezuela, punished and isolated, or their system collapses from within, like Iran’s theocrats who keep their people in chains. The so-called leaders in Havana need to realize that their time is up.

Liberals and globalist elites always rush to defend these so-called “revolutions,” pretending they’re helping the poor while ignoring the misery they cause. They whine about Trump being too harsh, but never seem to care about families being torn apart by the communist police state. Maybe it’s because the left is more interested in scoring virtue points than actually freeing anyone from oppression.
Let’s call out the hypocrisy: The same Democrats who supported Obama’s failed “thaw” with Cuba now weep crocodile tears over “democracy.” They cozy up to dictators when it suits their agenda, then act surprised when it blows up in their faces. The truth is, Cuba does not need more appeasement. It needs a lifeline to real freedom—and Trump is the only one on the world stage with the spine to offer it.
If the thugs in Havana don’t wake up, their house of cards will collapse—one way or another. Why drag the Cuban people through more suffering just to save face for the elite ruling class? Trump is right: it’s time for a friendly takeover, before a much less friendly one comes knocking. When will the left learn—America leads, dictators kneel?
