Former President Trump’s popularity among his loyal fanbase remains strong, despite the ongoing political witch hunts against him. This was evident at his rally in Des Moines, Iowa, where he drew a massive crowd of enthusiastic supporters. The event served as a reminder that Trump’s polling numbers in the state continue to hold strong.
After the rally, Trump made his way to the Iowa state fair, where he received a warm reception from fairgoers. He visited various attractions, including the Iowa Pork Producers tent and a baby farm animal exhibit. At a popular pub called the Grand Concourse, Trump was welcomed by a mob of fervent supporters. Pro-Trump banners filled the fairgrounds, with chants of “We love Trump” echoing through the air.

As he interacted with the crowd, Trump emphasized his commitment to supporting farmers, promising to “Make farmers great again.” He even took the time to hand out pork chops at a vendor booth, eliciting cheers of “U-S-A!” from fairgoers. Meanwhile, Trump’s potential rival in the 2024 presidential race, Governor Ron DeSantis of Florida, held his own rally in Iowa alongside Governor Kim Reynolds. However, DeSantis did not receive the same level of adoration as Trump did in the state. Trump’s helicopter arrival caused a wave of excitement among onlookers, who enthusiastically chanted his name.
During his speech, Trump took aim at DeSantis, ridiculing the size of his crowd compared to his own. On the other hand, DeSantis defended Reynolds against Trump’s criticism, highlighting her accomplishments as a governor. Trump reiterated his good relationship with Reynolds and claimed credit for her election victory.
