Time Magazine has officially declared Donald J. Trump its Person of the Year for 2024. This comes as a surprise to absolutely no one, especially since news of the decision leaked hours prior, leaving a flustered publication and its irked readership in utter disbelief. Don Lemon evidently couldn’t contain his frustration, throwing a fit over Trump reclaiming the title, which he previously snagged in 2016. Meanwhile, MSNBC dismissed the award like yesterday’s takeout, simply because, well, Trump won it again. But guess what? The outsider in the White House is hardly losing any sleep over the media’s tantrums, and Americans are laughing all the way to the bank.
In true leftist fashion, critics are trying to downplay this accolade as if it were as insignificant as their ratings. However, Time’s editor in chief, Sam Jacobs, made it abundantly clear that selecting Trump was not a tough decision. He contended that Trump has played a pivotal role in shaping modern politics since 2015, noting that we are all trapped in what he quaintly termed the “Age of Trump.” Spoiler alert: it’s only going to last longer, despite the regular huffing and puffing from the legacy media, who seem to be in a perpetual state of denial.

In a cheeky jab at Kamala Harris during his media blitz, Trump pointed out the many mistakes she made in her own failed 2024 campaign. Addressing the issue of her taking the assignment in the first place, he hinted that she might want to rethink her career choices. Kamala’s previous presidential bid wasn’t exactly a shining moment in American democracy, showing just how ill-prepared she truly was. Her chaotic rise to the Democratic nomination, assisted by some sneaky behind-the-scenes machinations, revealed a politician who could barely put words together coherently, let alone execute a successful campaign.
Consequently, as the left continues its epic struggle to come to terms with Trump’s enduring influence and success, the rest of America can’t help but revel in the almost comedic irony. The media’s incessant mockery only underscores their desperation, while the reality remains that Trump is back and, if anything, stronger than ever. So let the left’s moaning provide the soundtrack to Trump’s ongoing success. After all, it seems that while they’re busy erupting over a magazine cover, Americans are more focused on climbing the economic ladder, thanks to the policies championed by none other than—surprise—Trump himself.
