Trump Outraises Biden in April With $76 Million Boost From Grassroots Donors

In April, Former President Donald Trump’s campaign and the Republican Party raised $76 million, surpassing the $51 million raised by President Biden’s campaign and the Democratic National Committee. Trump’s team credited the support of small-dollar donors from all across the country for their fundraising success. Despite being tied up in a legal battle, Trump’s campaign managed to outpace Biden’s fundraising efforts.

Although Biden still holds a cash advantage, Trump and the Republican National Committee are narrowing the gap. The Biden campaign reported ending April with $192 million in cash on hand, a figure that remained consistent with the previous month.

Biden’s fundraising numbers have fluctuated in recent months, with a high of roughly $90 million in March, influenced by a star-studded fundraiser and Biden’s State of the Union address. Conversely, Trump’s April fundraising success was driven by a record-breaking fundraiser at a Palm Beach mansion.

The GOP celebrated their fundraising victory, highlighting the American people’s resistance to the Democrats’ legal battles. Despite facing challenges, Trump’s momentum and grassroots support continue to grow as the election approaches.
