Trump Predicts Red Wave in Blue States, Banking on Biden Blowback

Former President Donald Trump made a bold statement on Sunday, claiming that the staunch resentment of President Joe Biden’s policies will lead to a major upset in this year’s presidential election. In an interview on Fox News’ “Sunday Morning Futures,” Trump confidently asserted that even in deep-blue New York, the tides were turning in favor of Republicans. Host Maria Bartiromo would be glad to see Trump rally in the South Bronx as she sarcastically quipped, but Trump was undeterred, suggesting he might even hold a rally at the iconic Madison Square Garden.

With unwavering confidence, Trump suggested that New York has shifted dramatically in the past two years and that the current state of affairs has sparked dissatisfaction among its residents, particularly in response to rising crime rates. He boldly declared, “The people of New York are angry. People that would have never voted for me because I’m a Republican. I mean, they’re Democrats. Their parents were Democrats. They would vote for Democrats. I think they’re going to vote for me.”

The former president’s optimism extended beyond New York, as he expressed belief that other traditionally blue states such as New Jersey, Virginia, New Mexico, and Minnesota could also be flipped in the upcoming election. He cited rising crime levels and widespread discontent as the catalysts for potential shifts in these states.

Trump’s confidence appears to be validated by a recent NBC News poll, which showed him leading Biden nationally, receiving 47 percent support compared to Biden’s 42 percent. The poll also revealed that Trump held a significant lead over Biden in handling the economy and border and immigration issues. Democratic pollster Jeff Horwitt highlighted the decline in Biden’s approval ratings and suggested that the current presidency was in peril, while Republican pollster Bill McInturff emphasized the challenging numbers facing Biden ahead of a potential re-election bid.
