President Donald Trump’s return to the Oval Office has not only set off a political uproar but also sparked a flurry of organized chaos among liberal circles. Liberal America appears to be in full crisis mode, with everything from organized resistance to therapy sessions popping up like mushrooms after a rain — just not the fun kind of mushrooms.
In the early days of this new administration, the left has lunged into overdrive, proving once again that when it comes to whining and gathering protests, they lead the league. Political action groups have quickly mobilized to form a resistance network that would make the Avengers envious. Organizations like Our Revolution, which sprang from Bernie Sanders’ quest for political glory, are out there trying to score funds to battle each Cabinet nominee like they’re going into battle over who gets to take the last slice of pizza.
As if political theatrics weren’t enough, the courtroom has transformed into an arena of epic proportions. Lawyers like Marc Elias, previously ingrained in campaigns for names like Hillary Clinton, have taken the mantle of resistance advocate. They’ve concocted a bunch of strategies that sound more like a bad episode of a legal drama than actual political opposition. From promoting independent media that leans left to organizing grassroots faux outrage, they’re putting the pedal to the metal on the highway of hypocrisy.
Immigration advocacy has taken a creative turn as well, with groups rolling out schemes that make one wonder if they’ve been spending too much time in safe spaces. In a display of “let’s hide from reality,” these organizations are conducting seminars to protect immigrants and offering hotlines to report arrests. All this while active ICE agents are out there trying to keep the country safe. The irony must be hard to swallow for these groups, but never underestimate the lengths the left will go to when the Trump alarm winds them into a tizzy.

It doesn’t end there — the political turmoil has now crept into the world of mental health. Psychologists are jumping into the fray, providing coping strategies for those facing what they’ve dubbed “political distress.” Some of these methods range from the mundane, like getting fresh air, to the absurd, such as learning how to manage your emotional intelligence. Jeremy Shapiro, some kind of academic wizard, pinpoints that political distress was mostly unheard of before 2016. Perhaps now they can add “fainting spells over Twitter” to the DSM.
Even Capitol Hill has devolved into a surreal therapy session, where Democrats are inviting psychologists for help with what they call “authoritarian behavior.” Rep. Jamie Raskin, putting the “fun” in dysfunction, has managed to bring in professionals to discuss coping mechanisms, treating lawmakers like they’re toddlers afraid of the dark. Shockingly, they’re being advised to keep the personal attacks at bay, clearly forgetting the days of respectfully disagreeing with a fellow lawmaker are long gone.
As the ruckus continues, fundraising efforts have taken center stage in the leftist strategy. Groups are harping on barely coherent narratives that claim cash donations will somehow empower them to stand against the inevitable resurgence of conservatism. Abortion rights organizations are cashing in on those fears, raking in funds for heightened security while they brace for the legal battles they’re itching to engage in.
