In a comparison that prides itself on wit, Trump referred to Stephanopoulos as “Slapadopoulos,” an amusing nod to the fact that the journalist has roots in the Clinton administration. This amusing moniker practically sums up the former president’s expectation that Harris would seek out only those interviewers who would treat her with kid gloves. It’s akin to expecting a school kid to take a test in a bouncy castle instead of a classroom.
The irony of Harris’s situation is not lost on many.
